UV recirculation irradiators ORUB-KRONT
ORUB-KRONT - is a shielde-type irradiator. UV source: "Philips" bactericide lamps, wave length 254 nm. UV radiation of this wavelength has considerable effect on all sorts of microbes like bacteria, viruses and mycobacteria.
ORUB-KRONT can be particularly effective during heavy epidemic outbreaks. ORUB-KRONT cleans air in the room from microbacteria preventing flue, ARD, diphtheria, TB and other infective dissemination. Researchers have also found that SARS viruses causing recurrent global outbreaks are sensitive to UV radiation which proves ORUB-KRONT efficiency against SARS dissemination.
Last year February 22 Flue Research Institute of the Russian Medical Sciences Academy tested air recirculation irradiators ORUB-01-KRONT and ORUB-03-KRONT produced by KRONT for indoor virus neutralization of human flue A(H1N1), bird flue (H5N2) and paraflue type 1. These tests proved high efficiency of ORUB UV-irradiators against bird flue.
Irradiators can be installed in rooms of any category to disinfect the air: hospitals and preventive clinics (operating rooms, burn debridement suites, therapy suites, patient wards, etc.). ORUB disinfection can be the final step in sanitary and hygienic preparation of rooms before work though keeping aseptic conditions in peopled rooms is its main application.
ORUB-KRONT irradiators are also recommended for rooms with high risk of respiratory contamination.
ORUB-KRONT irradiators proved successful in bio and clinical tests performed in surgery suite of Pirogov Hospital №1 and microbiology laboratory of the President’s Hospital in Russia. ORUB-KRONT irradiators were also tested in Moscow TB Research Center to prove their anti-bacterial impact (Certification from 29.07.2000). See below results of the tests:

- Irradiators reduce the chance of TB contamination for phtysiatric medical personnel or repeated contamination with drug-resistant TB bacteria for drug-sensitive patients.
This equipment could not be produced without ozone-resistant lamps that came up to life not so long ago. Now we’ve got a wider choice of components to fit DESAR out with Phillips ozone-resistant lamps.
Lamp tubes have a special coating that does not let 200 nm-shorter waves resisting ozone generation in the air and prolongs lamp’s life up to 8000 hours.
Radiation provided by ozone-resistant lamps is enough to kill all microbacteria in the air of the room (Disinfection efficiency depends on the model of your irradiator and makes about 95-99,9%).
Strong UV radiation destroys biological and organic compounds and eliminates smells and tobacco smoke.
ORUB-KRONT is not hazardous for people because it resists ozone formation and gives no direct UV radiation.
